John Hassan (wearing green in blog header picture, and in captioned family photo) is a Nigerian Christian living in Zaria, Nigeria. He is a husband, father of three girls, pastor, and Christian leader. His ministry would be substantially aided with access to his own computer. Currently, John must rent a computer at a local technology center. With his own laptop, John could be assisted in his sermon preparation (bible study software), communication (email), and organization (saving information to his hard drive,
rather than loose papers).
Lord willing, on May 11, 2008 Nathan Sawyer, Bryan Smith, and Jordan Thomas will travel to Nigeria to help equip 13 church-planters who are preparing to start new churches in unreached villages of Nigeria. It is our desire that we will also be able to deliver a new laptop computer to John Hassan on this trip. If you are interested in giving toward the cost of his computer and the needed software, you may do so the following way:
Make check payable to:
Grace Church
c/o John Hassan’s Computer
P.O. Box 1801
Memphis, TN 38101
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
- Gifts for John’s computer are NOT tax deductible. Grace Church’s P.O. box is simply serving as the gathering place for the funds that are collected. This “offering” is not an official Grace Church offering.
- We will update this blog at least once every week with a record of exactly how much money has come in.
- Any excess money above the cost of John’s computer and the needed software, will be given toward the living expenses of Nigerian church planters who are ministering to unreached peoples in Nigeria. Nathan, Bryan, and Jordan are scheduled to spend a week with these church planters in May.
